Derby day is dominating the Bulls’ thoughts but Mick Potter won’t allow his players to forget their Salford debacle.
The pain of a 56-16 defeat remains fresh, even as the players prepare for Thursday’s clash with Leeds, and the Bradford boss is demanding a response.
A string of fundamental errors sparked the Bulls’ downfall at the Willows and Potter has called on each player to reflect on their own performance.
He said: “As much as we’d like to forget about it, we need everyone accountable to make sure we fix up quite a few fundamental things we’re doing incorrectly.
“We’ve had a look at them with the players and there are things that are out of character for some of our players.
“The high shots, the hand on the ball – we gave away 12 penalties and dropped the ball 16 times and we can’t afford to be doing that against any team. To give them an extra 28 sets is just not on."
