The Bulls ruined Castleford's unbeaten start to the season with a 18-14 win in a thrilling game at Odsal.
Cas scored first when Nick Youngquest broke down the left flank and Rangi Chase slipped through two tackles to touch down, Kirk Dixon converting.
The Bulls levelled when Olivier Elima powered over from dummy half, Patrick Ah Van converting, but Dixon kicked a penalty to edge Cas back in front.
But Bradford went in at the break in front after Elliott Whitehead and Heath L'Estrange produced excellent passes to send in Nick Scruton, Ah Van converting.
Scruton scored again after the break off another pass from L'Estrange, Ah Van again adding the extras.
And although Daryl Clark scored an interception try converted by Dixon to make it a nervy last 20 minutes, the Bulls defended their lead with pride.
