Kyle Briggs is in line for a swift Bulls debut in Sunday’s friendly at Dewsbury Rams (3pm).
The promising stand-off, who arrived from Featherstone just last week, will strike up an intriguing partnership in the halves with 18-year-old Cain Southernwood.
Matt Diskin also makes his debut following an off-season switch from arch-rivals Leeds, as does Olivier Elima, signed from Catalans Dragons.
There is a place too for front-line Nick Scruton, making his first appearance of 2011 after undergoing a hernia operation during the winter.
Player performance manager Stuart Barrow has been put in charge for the trip to the Tetley’s Stadium, the remainder of the team containing a blend of first-teamers and under-20s.
Barrow said: “I’m looking forward to it. It will be good for the younger players to have a run-out with some of the more senior professionals and see how they react to that kind of environment.
“It’s become a traditional friendly fixture and Dewsbury always play with heart and no shortage of skill, so it’ll be a challenge for the lads.
“It’ll be tough and the younger lads will face a different kind of test to under-20s matches.”
Sunday’s clash comes hot on the heels of Bradford’s warm-weather training camp in Lanzarote, the squad only returning to Yorkshire yesterday following seven days in the sun.
And Barrow hailed the effects of the trip, especially in helping Briggs integrate into his new surroundings.
The former Leeds youngster only joined up with his new team-mates a day before heading to Spain, leaving him a lot to learn in a short space of time.
Barrow said: “I think he’s really enjoyed the week. It’s been his first week with the team and his first in a full-time environment but he’s really developed over the course of it.
“He’s joined up well with the lads and we’re all pleased with the progress he’s made so far.
“Overall it was great for the whole squad and we’ve come on leaps and bounds during the space of a week.”
