Brian McDermott has ruled out a return to Odsal as Bulls boss, confirming Mick Potter’s status as favourite for the role.
The Harlequins coach moved to quash speculation ahead of their clash with his former club at The Stoop tomorrow night, confirming his intention to remain in London next year, the last in his current deal.
That leaves St Helens boss Potter as the man most likely to succeed Steve McNamara at Bradford, as reported in the T&A earlier this week.
“The reality is I’m contracted to the Quins and the reality is that I’m not going to Bradford,” said McDermott.
“So what I’d like to do and what may be, and what’s happening in the future is almost irrelevant.
“I’m contracted to Quins and unless something changes down here and something dramatic happens, that won’t change.
“So speaking to anyone who listens, you have to believe that while I’m here I’ll continue to give the club everything I’ve got and hopefully enthuse the players to do as much.”
