The Bulls will not seek a quick fix despite Danny Sculthorpe’s ongoing injury woes.

Yet to play a single minute since his winter switch to Grattan Stadium, the 30-year-old prop is sidelined indefinitely due to complications resulting from his off-season back operation.

An infection means his scheduled return has been delayed and he is not expected back for at least another four weeks.

Recruited to add unpredictability to the pack, his absence has left Bradford light on props but head coach Steve McNamara has ruled out an imminent move into the loan market.

Neither will Sculthorpe be rushed back into action, considering the serious nature of his injury, with McNamara confident his squad can continue to cope in his absence.

“I’m not considering bringing players in at this moment in time,” said the Bulls boss.

“We’ve got a reasonably healthy squad and I’m happy with the group we’ve got.

“Danny had his back operation but he’s got an infection in the bones so he’s going to be sidelined for a bit longer.

“It’s a real shame for him because the chances of getting an infection are minimal.”

So far, Glenn Hall has filled in down the middle and, although the former Manly forward has been a capable stand-in, McNam-ara is excited about the possibilities when Sculthorpe finally returns.

He said: “Danny’s been very enthusiastic and has some real individual quality in terms of his offensive game.

“He’ll be an important player for us in the second half of the season.”
