Michael Platt edged ever closer to a Super League return after coming through Saturday's under-20s game unscathed.
The former Great Britain star featured at right centre as the Bulls' second string were beaten 48-16 by Warrington.
Sidelined since injuring his knee in a training-ground collision with Chris Nero in January, Platt has progressed quicker than expected and could even feature in Friday's trip to Hull FC.
After an impressive pre-season, the 25-year-old had been tipped to make an impact this season and his return will provide much-needed depth in the three-quarters.
Fellow first-team squad members Steve Crossley, Tom Olbison, Danny Addy, George Burgess and Andy Tate played in the under-20s' defeat at Wilderspool.
Vinny Finigan scored two tries and Johnny Horton one for the young Bulls, while Addy kicked two goals.
