Jamie Langley believes the Bulls are starting to get into the winning habit.

Their revival continued with a 7-0 victory at Salford on Friday night, lifting them to eighth in Super League after starting the season with two straight defeats.

Although far from scintillating, it was Bradford’s first win at The Willows since 2005 and showed an ability to grind out victory in tight, awkward games.

It is an area Langley knows the Bulls needed to improve, having lost seven games by six points or less last season.

He said: “We’d lost three times in a row there. It’s a tough place to go and it’s one of those places that can be quite hostile.

“Often you get dragged into a battle there because they always complete and kick well and if you’re not on your money, you’ll slip up.

“In the past there’s been a few games when it’s been nip and tuck right up to the end and we’ve ended up losing but we found a way to win this one.

“We were put under pressure but we worked for each other and we’ve got to take confidence from that. Once you find ways to win those games, it starts to become easier.

“You look at teams like Leeds and Saints and how many tight games they’ve come from behind to win. Winning is a habit and hopefully we can pick it up.”

Langley has been one of the Bulls’ most impressive performers so far this year, approaching something like his best form after overcoming a shoulder operation.

The all-action back-rower played all of 2009 with constant niggles over his shoulder after dislocating it in the opening game against Hull KR.

He said: “I’m enjoying it at the minute and it’s good to be out there. It was nice to have a good off-season and to be back to full fitness again.

“All the lads seem to be really enjoying it at the moment and it’s good to be part of that.”
