The Bulls proved stronger in a real arm wrestle at The Willows to record back-to-back wins.
Although they didn't provide the same kind of flair as they had to beat Castleford a week previous, Bradford did what was required to claim their first points at Salford since 2005.
A superb Brett Kearney break allowed Steve Menzies to touch down for the only points of the first half, Matt Orford missing the conversion.
But the visitors could have had the game out of sight, such was their incredible dominance.
The tables turned somewhat after the break and, forced to do a lot more defending, the Bulls muscled up well.
Orford kicked a penalty and Paul Sykes added a last-minute drop goal to seal the points.
