The Bulls are in the market for Australian international Craig Wing.
Reports Down Under suggest Bradford have made a substantial £750,000 offer to the multi-talented South Sydney stand-off.
And it is understood Wing, 29, is definitely high on their wish-list for next season.
Equally at home at hooker and loose forward, the multi-talented New South Wales Origin ace is one of the most exciting individuals in the NRL.
Although contracted until the end of 2011, it is believed Wing is keen to earn a release from the remaining two years of that deal, which has alerted Bulls.
He is apparently unhappy after a lucrative third-party sponsorship deal with an estate agency reportedly broke down, leaving him feeling the pinch.
With Parramatta Eels and former club Sydney City Roosters circling, Souths issued a statement last week denying they had given him permission to speak to any NRL rivals.
But the quote specifically referred to NRL clubs, which potentially leaves Super League outfits free to bid.
The Bulls won’t be drawn on potential targets but boss Steve McNamara has long been in the hunt for a quality playmaker.
Their last bid for an Aussie No 6 – Greg Bird – was scuppered when the UK Border Agency refused him a visa.
The Bulls have little cover at half-back, while stand-off Ben Jeffries and hooker Terry Newton are both out of contract at the end of the season.
Presently, McNamara is busy trying to retain many of his current squad, including Wing’s former NSW team-mate Steve Menzies, but the pacy star’s class and versatility would undoubtedly add a new dimension if any move did come off for 2010.
