Steve McNamara has been pleased with the impact of Bulls signing Julien Rinaldi but no decision has been made yet about his long-term future.

The French hooker is halfway through a two-month deal after joining as cover for the injured Wayne Godwin.

He has come off the bench in all four games since his arrival, helping Bulls to wins over St Helens and Wakefield before featuring in back-to-back losses against Celtic and Salford.

Rinaldi, 30, is without a club for next season and is keen to extend his stay. But McNamara admitted: “We’ve not talked to him or his manager about it.

“Obviously the deal was for the two months initially because we had Wayne Godwin missing and there’s still a month to go.

“But he’s done very well for us and fitted in great on and off the field.

“He’s been a pleasure to have around and without a doubt he’s been good.

“We’ve got no complaints whatsoever. The last two results obviously have not been what we’d have hoped for but he’s come in and played a part in what we’re trying to do.

“We just can’t say any more at the moment.”

Rinaldi is set to play against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats but is expected to miss Warrington Wolves on Sun-day, June 14 as he is in the reckoning for France versus England the night before.

Meanwhile, Godwin is making a good recovery from his broken leg, having had his cast taken off last week.

He is on course for a return in early July.
