Michael Platt is planning on scoring a glut of tries now his eight-month drought is finally over.

The normally prolific Bulls full back admits he had been getting edgy having failed to cross the whitewash in 16 consecutive matches.

However, the duck came to an end when he bagged a double at Keighley on Sunday and he's not bothered they only came in a friendly.

"I'm not going to lie to you - I'd have taken any try, any where at the moment!" he laughed.

"I'm just happy to have got over at last. One, two or three tries, it doesn't matter.

"I've got one now and am hoping there'll be plenty more to follow."

Platt's barren spell - he hadn't struck since last May - is all the more remarkable given he had blasted 14 tries in just 14 games beforehand, setting Super League alight.

The former Castleford man admits it has been his longest spell without a score but added: "When I do get one, they tend to come in batches.

"Hopefully that's good for the start of Super League next week.

"The way I see it, I got a try at Keighley last season and went on to get 14 in a row.

"I got two there this time - so maybe I'll manage 28!"

Meanwhile, Platt, 23, has put on some kilos over the winter which should add power to his already dangerous pace.

He said: "I'm bigger now than I've ever been.

"Now I'm just looking forward to the big kick-off."
