Jamie Langley will continue his Bulls comeback from a six-month lay-off against the Cougars on Sunday.

The Great Britain back-rower managed an encouraging 70-minute blow-out versus Wigan on Sunday - his first game since major wrist surgery last July.

He will step up his fitness with a second match in a week by hitting into Keighley and admitted: "I'm just happy to be out there again.

"It had been so long sitting on the sidelines and watching everyone else so it was nice to be able to get back into the action against Wigan.

"It was the first real bit of contact I'd got - I'd not done much at all in training - so I was a little nervous going into the game seeing how the wrist held up.

"I got through it all right though. There was a lot of ring-rust but you expect that. It was a good test and now I'm going to get some more time under my belt at Keighley."

With fellow back-rowers Simon Finnigan (groin) and David Solomona (knee) crocked and Glenn Morrison (shoulder) still recovering from his own off-season surgery, Langley could be facing another big stint in the Bradford engine room.

He has never shirked the workload though and is relishing the opportunity to make up for lost time.

With Super League just a fortnight away, the all-action forward believes this weekend's run-out is going to be a vital part of the club's preparations.

"It's a good exercise for us," said Langley, who featured in the 88-0 try-fest at Cougar Park last year.

"It worked well back then and got us off to a good start in Super League.

"Hopefully we can put a few things into practice that we've been working on I training, pick up our timing and other stuff and it'll set us right."

Australian centre James Evans is expected to get his first run-out of pre-season.

The former Wildcat went under the knife himself over the winter to correct his own wrist injury but is now ready to resume action.

With the Bulls light in the back-row division, Chris Nero could move from centre into the pack alongside Langley and Matt Cook, Evans filling his spot in the three-quarters.

Like Nero, new recruits Ben Jeffries and Wayne Godwin debuted against Wigan and tomorrow make their second appearance, with Paul Sykes also due to be named.

Meanwhile, Dave Halley is warning Bradford not to take the Cougars lightly, saying: "We can't just go in there thinking it'll be easy.

"All their players will be really looking forward to this one and they'll be fired up.

"It's a strange place too. I played a lot at Keighley as a schoolboy. It's very old-fashioned and a tough ground to play at."
