Terry Newton has spoken about the positive effect Steve McNamara has had on addressing his wild ways.
The Bulls hooker, one of just seven survivors from the first-ever Super League campaign in 1996 lining up for the new season next month, reckons he is a changed man since moving to Grattan Stadium.
"I've not lost the fire or the aggression," Newton insisted.
"I probably try and play a bit smarter these days. I'm the first to admit in the past I lost my cool a few times.
"But that's the old Terry Newton. Since I signed at Bradford I've worked hard on the discipline side of things and Steve Mac has done a great job with me.
"I have enjoyed working under Steve, who is a great coach and I have the utmost respect for him."
