Wakefield old boy Ben Jeffries can't wait to renew his lethal partnership with David Solomona at the Bulls.

The pair linked to devastating effect in Wildcats colours, forming a clinical attacking combination down Wakefield's left-hand side.

Menacing Kiwi second-rower Solomona speaks highly of the impact half-back Jeffries had on his own glittering success at Belle Vue.

He joined Bradford last year and now Jeffries has followed suit ahead of Super League XIII with the pair hoping to pick up where they left off.

"I played for four years with Sol at Wakefield and we did work well together," said Jeffries.

"He's just a great player, world class, and you know if you give him the ball in the right areas he can really open teams up.

"Sol can do all sorts of damage and we had a good understanding.

"He's a pleasure to play with and I'm looking forward to doing it again.

"There's a few of us here now from Wakefield though with Semi (Tadulala), Jimmy Evans and Chris Feather too. But my first aim is just to get into the team.

"I know there's lots of competition with Paul Deacon and Iestyn Harris so I have to work hard."

The Australian has just completed his first full week of pre-season training.

"It's been good, a little tough at times but good!" he said.

"I obviously know a few of the lads anyway and they're a great set of boys.

"I've settled in and and can't wait to pull on a Bulls jersey and get going."
