Another former Bulls player on the move is much-travelled Nathan McAvoy.

The rangy centre had hoped to find a top Super League club after being released by Bradford three months ago, with Wigan a potential suitor.

But now they have completed their squad with Karl Pryce's signature, McAvoy, 30, has had to drop into National League One at Leigh.

He will be long remembered by Bulls fans for the knock-on that led to Wigan's decisive drop goal in September's horror play-off defeat, ultimately his last match for the Bulls.

On his move to part-time Leigh, McAvoy said: "I have been looking to pursue a career outside of full-time rugby league for some time and I am just finishing my sports business degree.

"I want to promote rugby league in the schools and being a part-time player was just what I was looking for.

"When Leigh Centurions came to me I didn't have to think long. If you are going to sign then sign for the best. I'm looking forward to the new challenge."
