It's all systems go now for the Super League title.

That's the message from Bulls skipper Paul Deacon as the squad bid to mount their push for Grand Final glory.

After enduring Challenge Cup heartache at the hands of St Helens, Bradford are back in Super League action against Wakefield on Sunday.

They missed out on Wembley but, with just six rounds remaining, are determined to make sure they do not fall short in the main competition.

Deacon said: "There's only one more trophy to play for. That Saints game is gone. We can't get anything from it now but hopefully we can get the Super League title and this is a really important match coming up."

The unfancied Wildcats have surged into the play-off reckoning so Deacon is under no illusions his side will have a smooth return to business.

"Wakefield are the form side in Super League," said the scrum half.

"They're playing really well and are probably higher in the table than they've ever been at this stage.

"It's third versus fifth and they'll have a lot of confidence coming here but we can't afford to be off.

"There's not long to go now and we've got to get straight back on against Wakefield."

Deacon accepts the Saints semi loss was a hammer blow but any gloom is now lifted and the squad is recharged ready to kick on for Old Trafford.

He said: "We just didn't take our chances. We seemed to make vital errors right at the time we were looking to get over the try line.

"Losing was a gutting feeling and really disappointing, even more so knowing we could have won, but it's gone and we're looking at Super League.

"Steve (McNamara) gave us a couple of days off to get over it all and we're back at work now ready for Wakey."

Deacon reckons the Bulls have taken a valuable lesson on board.

"The thing we can learn from it is that we can't be as ill-disciplined again in these big games," he said.

"We gave away far too many penalties. You can't really blame anyone for mistakes as everyone can make them but we do have to learn to be a lot more disciplined, especially against the big sides.

"Generally that's not been a problem this season but the last few weeks we have conceded more and it's cost us. We need to cut it out against Wakefield."
