Teenage French winger Francois Theresin is spending the week on trial at the Bulls.
The speedster, who arrived from leading club UTC with a 100 metres time of less than 11 seconds, is highly regarded in Perpignan.
Steve McNamara is now running the rule over the prospect and will assess whether he is worth a contract.
Theresin is set to appear for the Senior Academy against Wakefield on Sunday.
McNamara said: "He's come on the recommendation of a contact and we're going to have a look at him. He's 18 and is supposed to be very quick.
"We're always planning and looking at various avenues of recruitment and this is just a different one.
"We've got him for a week and he's training partly with the full-time squad and also with the Academy on a night.
"We'll put him in the under-21s on Sunday and see how he fares."
