BULLS new boy Damian Sironen insists the goal is to "win every game from now until the end of the season" – starting with the leaders on Sunday.
After being unveiled as Bradford's newest addition last week, the Aussie front-rower landed in the UK on Monday.
With the Bulls still ten points adrift of their nearest Championship rivals – with only ten games remaining – there has been little time for the 24-year-old to acclimatise or recover from any jet-lag.
In fact, after a quick introduction to his new team-mates, Sironen was on the training field at Tong yesterday and making his case for a starting spot against Hull KR this weekend.
"It's great to finally get over here," said Sironen, an NSW Cup Premiership winner with Newcastle Knights and St George Illawarra, who left Tweed Heads Seagulls to seize his Bradford opportunity.
"It all happened pretty quickly in terms of getting a contract together and getting myself on the plane and I'm very glad to be over here. I've gone straight into training and it's pretty exciting to get out on the paddock.
"The goal now is to come in here and win every game from now until the end of the season and avoid any sort of relegation issues at all. That's the plan.
"It's unfortunate the scenario that we find ourselves in, especially with that 12 points to recover from the start. If we didn't have that to overcome, we'd probably be going pretty well."
Tim Sheens' table-topping Robins are the visitors to Odsal on Sunday in what promises to be a real baptism of fire for Sironen.
After being recommended to the Bulls by Sheens himself, the former Melbourne Storm under-20s star is hoping to prove both head coaches right this weekend.
"I'd spoken to him (Sheens) last year about going to Hull KR, and that didn't happen, but apparently he was speaking at someone at Bradford who were looking for forwards and mentioned me," said the new signing.
"It's a great game to come into and I'm pretty excited about it. I'm looking forward to the weekend already – it's going to be a good challenge for us all."
