NOTHING, it seems, can stop Adam Sidlow right now.

The Bulls prop has enjoyed an outstanding start to the season and led by example in the victories over Featherstone and Whitehaven.

Sidlow’s big carries, offloading ability and willingness to sprint through gaps in the opposition’s line have characterised his form so far.

His leadership skills can often be seen during games as he cajoles team-mates and barks orders with the kind of authority befitting such a senior player.

The 28-year-old Wiganer is now in his fourth season at Bradford, having arrived from Salford ahead of the 2013 campaign.

The move breathed new life into his career and he has not looked back since.

Asked about his performances so far this season, Sidlow was typically modest.

“As forwards, we need to lay that platform so the backs can score the tries,” said Sidlow.

“Our job is to go forward – it’s a simple job and I like doing it.

“There is quite a bit of competition for places at Bradford now and you can see how hard people are trying in training and in games.

“I’d like to think I can keep doing what I’m doing at the moment every week.”

Sidlow and Paul Clough played big minutes last season but the arrival of Mitch Clark, Rhys Lovegrove, Jonny Walker and Ben Kavanagh has given Jimmy Lowes significantly more options.

Moreover, it should also mean that Sidlow is not flogged every week.

“The competition for places can only benefit the club and if I get a bit on the sideline then it’s good for me,” added Sidlow.

“I try and do the same thing every week, but as you get older you get a bit wiser.

“You know when to take those carries and I’m enjoying my rugby right now.”

Clearly.
