IN-FORM Danny Williams has vowed there will be no repeat of the sluggish start against Halifax on Good Friday.
The Bulls put in their worst 40-minute display of the season during the first half of the Easter derby at Odsal.
They trailed 13-2 at the interval but overpowered Richard Marshall’s men after the break and ultimately ran out comfortable 32-19 winners.
Williams, whose 42nd-minute try kick-started the fightback, reckons Bulls will be quick out of the blocks when the sides meet again at Blackpool tonight.
He said: “We started off slowly in that Easter game but I think we will be quicker and sharper this time around.
“They’ve got some big aggressive guys but I’m sure we will compete with them.”
Williams has scored nine tries this season, including a brace in the Bulls’ win at Whitehaven last time out, and has formed a promising partnership with centre Adrian Purtell inside the left channel.
Purtell said: “Danny is having a good year and it’s my job to service him and try and get his tally up.
“I enjoy playing with him and it always helps playing outside Lee Gaskell as well.
“Gasky gives me quality ball which makes my decisions easier.”
Williams is happy with his form and added: “I’ve had a few weeks on the sidelines which nobody wants, but all in all it’s been a good season.
“I’m just there to finish things off and to be outside an outstanding player like Purts definitely helps me to score tries.”
