ADAM Sidlow believes the Bulls are heading "in the right direction" as they chase an 11th straight win at Whitehaven this weekend.

The in-form front-rower was satisfied with the impressive 46-12 demolition of top-four rivals Sheffield but admitted his team are still striving for perfection.

Sidlow said: "We didn't want to give them 12 points and we dropped off a bit at the end. That was disappointing because we had talked about putting in an 80-minute performance.

"I would say it was a 70 to 75-minute performance – but we're going in the right direction and it was up there with the Hunslet game as the best of the season.

"No disrespect to Hunslet, but Sheffield have a bit more quality. We just brought a lot of enthusiasm on Sunday, in the changing rooms and in the warm-up beforehand, and I think that's what got us over the line."

Jimmy Lowes' men now head to Whitehaven and Sidlow is ready for the challenge which awaits as Bradford visit the Cumbrian club for the first time in a competitive fixture since 1994.

In 2007, Sidlow was sent out on loan to Workington Town, scoring nine tries in 18 games. He explained: "It's a tough journey up there but I've played at Workington, so I know what it's all about, and I've played at Whitehaven before.

"The changing rooms aren't the best and the pitch is wide – but we've just got to stay switched on and deal with stuff like that.

"Leigh will tell you, when you go to places like Whitehaven and Dewsbury, you can't switch off. You've got to bring your 'A game' every week because these teams want the scalp of Leigh and Bradford.

"Everybody raises their game, so we've got to raise ours as well. Every time I've played against Whitehaven, they've had a lot of grunt up front.

"We've got to deal with that because they ran us close in the first half at Odsal earlier this season. We can't disrespect any opposition and we won't.

"I would imagine we will get some stick from the Cumbrian fans on Sunday. While there are not thousands of them, they do make themselves heard."

The Bulls' front row of Sidlow, Paul Clough and Adam O'Brien helped to lay the platform against Sheffield, with all three players enjoying excellent seasons so far.

"Me and Cloughie try and work on playing the ball as quickly as possible and Adam O'Brien can jump off the back of that," said Sidlow.

"That's what we aim to do every game. If we do that, we should be able to beat teams."

Meanwhile, the Bulls have announced a new partnership with Manchester-based digital marketing agency Tecmark, who have become their official digital partner after a redesign of the club's official website.
