BRADFORD Bulls are to stage a charity firewalk at Odsal on Friday when they face Halifax in a league fixture for the first time in more than a decade.
Hosted by The Bulls Foundation – the club's official charity partner – the firewalk will take prior to kick-off as part of 'Robbie's big 10', the 2015 charity campaign of Bradford chief executive Robbie Hunter-Paul.
In a bid to raise funds for the Bulls Foundation, the firewalk is supported by West Yorkshire's Little Heroes Cancer Trust, who provide support for children suffering with cancer, and Santander UK.
It will see participants attempt the ultimate challenge, walking across 20 feet of burning wood embers with a core temperature of over 1000°F.
The firewalk will take place pitchside and Hunter-Paul himself will be taking part ahead of what looks set to be a memorable evening, with the Kingstone Press Championship action getting underway from 8pm.
The former New Zealand star is now calling on supporters to join him and help raise funds for the club's official charity.
A £25 registration fee is payable to take part in the event and the Bulls are asking participants to raise a minimum of £100 each in sponsorship money.
If this sounds like the challenge for you then please contact the Foundation by calling 08448 711 490 (option 5), or, alternatively, e-mail: foundation@bradfordbulls.co.uk.
