JIMMY Lowes felt his side had shown an improvement in yesterday's rematch with Workington as the Bulls claimed their fifth straight Championship win.
Seven days after thumping the Cumbrians 74-6 in the Challenge Cup, Bradford claimed a 36-6 league victory to leave their head coach satisfied.
"I was critical of some of the things we did the previous week because I thought we could we have been better," said Lowes.
"I thought we did a decent job defensively and our kicking game was solid in the first half, when we pinned them down into the corners.
"We let them off the hook at times in terms of the errors and penalties we conceded but generally I thought our performance was a lot better.
"The conditions were tough out there – but that's rugby. You cannot let that affect you and some of the errors we made were not down to the weather."
Jake Mullaney felt his leg tighten up and was replaced shortly after scoring the Bulls' second try early on.
Lowes said: "We took him off as a precaution and hopefully it's not too bad. We're not sure if it's his hamstring."
Danny Williams continued his recent impressive scoring form with a double, taking his tally to five tries in his last four matches.
Lowes said: "Danny did really well – and not just with his tries either. He's fit and he's powerful and is reaping the rewards of really working hard in pre-season.
"He has formed a good combination with Adrian Purtell. But I thought everyone had a good go, without the ball especially, and we did okay."
Adam Sidlow missed out due to injury and Lowes joked that "he might struggle in his medical at Hull KR".
Rumours surfaced on Twitter on Friday when Sidlow was left out of the squad and with Rovers on the look-out for props.
But Lowes confirmed there was no substance to the story and said: "He did something right at the end of the Challenge Cup game against Workington and took it into training.
"We made the call not to play him this week – but we have got bodies coming back going into the Easter period."
