JIMMY Lowes insists Batley's famous sloped pitch will have no bearing whatsoever on tomorrow's match as the Bulls go in search of a fourth straight win.
Mount Pleasant is one of rugby league's oldest grounds and a bumper crowd of over 3,000 is expected, including another huge travelling contingent.
But Bulls head coach Lowes said: "I'm not worried about the pitch because it's the opposition who beat you, not the playing surface.
"I played there many years with Hunslet and I'm more concerned about Batley as a team than the ground.
"I've got a lot of time for John Kear. He's a good bloke and a good coach who has been in the game for a lot of years. Batley are fired up every week with John coaching them.
"Like I said right at the start of the year, we have to approach every game with the right attitude."
