JAMIE Peacock was delighted to return to Odsal this week and admitted: "It's just good to know the club is financially stable."
The legendary former Bulls star was back to make the Challenge Cup fourth-round draw with Leon Pryce and is confident the financial nightmares of recent seasons are a thing of the past.
The Leeds Rhinos prop, who has played in a record-breaking ten Grand Finals and won eight of them, said: "More than ever, it's good to come back knowing the Bulls are on a sound footing.
"They're a club on the up, I feel, and they had over 5,000 here against Hunslet last Sunday. They're a club being honest about where they are at with their financials.
"They look like they're making great strides going forward, so I'm pleased for the club and I was pleased to be back here for the Challenge Cup draw.
"It would be fantastic if they came straight back up and I think Super League needs Bradford. They should be in that elite division."
Peacock is due to retire at the end of the season and is currently working towards completing a Masters degree in sports business and administration at Leeds Beckett University.
His team-mate Kevin Sinfield is on the same course and is writing his dissertation on Super League's salary cap.
Peacock plans to write his thesis on leadership styles and management strategies of Super League chief executives. He is hopeful of then securing a job in rugby league administration when he hangs up his boots.
"I've only got one more bit to do with my masters but that's on hold at the moment because I've been so busy," said 37-year-old Peacock.
"I'll restart it in May and hopefully get it finished by the end of the year to get the qualification I need. Hopefully I'll have a job in place for when I finish playing."
