JAY PITTS admits he has “options” for next year amid speculation linking him with a move to ambitious Championship outfit Featherstone.
The Bulls loanee has another two years remaining on his contract at Hull FC but Rovers have offered him a two-year deal as they prepare for a promotion push next season.
Andy Hay’s side are also bidding to sign former Bulls ace Leon Pryce and are set to recruit Jarrod Sammut on a permanent deal from next year.
Second-rower Pitts said: “I’m contracted to Hull for the next two years, so I’m there until I see that contract out.
“Whether there are other options, I’m not too sure at the moment, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
“I’m not ruling anything out so I’ll sit down with my agent and see what we come up with.”
Asked if he could sign for Bradford permanently, Pitts said: “Bradford have been really good to me and it has been nice being there, even though it’s been tough recently.
“There are always options with Bradford and other places, so I’ll just keep my head down and keep working hard.”
Pitts has impressed since joining the Bulls on loan in April but says his spell has been one of “mixed emotions” overall.
He explained: “In the first two weeks I was there we beat Catalan and Warrington.
“You could sense a buzz around the place but we’ve just not been performing lately, so it’s been up and down from a personal point of view.
“The main thing for me is that I’ve been playing but it’s not the best feeling when you lose by the amount of points that are going against us.
“We’ve been trying our hardest to change things around but it just doesn’t seem to be coming off and that’s frustrating.”
Pitts paid tribute to Francis Cummins after he was dismissed last Monday, adding: “I was devastated and I didn’t want to see him leave at all.
“I think Franny did an amazing job and Lee (St Hilaire) as well.
“Franny will be a head coach again straight away, I would have thought, and is a real good man-manager who helped me a lot.”
Meanwhile, Matt Diskin and Hull KR’s Neville Costigan have been charged with a Grade A offence of striking during Friday’s game and have until 11am today to submit early guilty pleas.
