Adrian Purtell believes the Bulls can maintain their winning habit when St Helens arrive at Odsal this weekend.
Francis Cummins’ in-form side have dumped Catalan Dragons out of the Challenge Cup and beaten Warrington in their past two home games.
They will now bid for a hat-trick of victories against Saints and Purtell declared: “Catalan was a character-building win and I think it was important to build on that against Warrington.
“It was nice to put in back-to-back performances in front of our own fans but we need to do it again now.
“Throughout the troubles of the last couple of years, we’ve always been willing to work hard for each other. That character has come to the fore again in the past two games.
“The two points against Warrington were massive and we’ve just got to keep building now. Hopefully we can get used to that winning feeling.”
Purtell, whose contract is up at the end of the season, scored two crucial tries against Warrington and was deployed in the back row rather than his usual centre spot.
He added: “I have had a good pre-season and played every game so far this year.
“I’m starting to get a bit of confidence in the players around me and am really enjoying my footie.
“Hopefully we can now start off against St Helens where we finished against Warrington last weekend.”
