RFL director of licensing and standards Blake Solly said there are currently four parties bidding to buy the Bulls – including a mystery consortium.
The club is back in the hands of David Wilson and, although the Leeds-based administrator is believed to be in Switzerland until tomorrow, his assistant Kate Blakeway is working on the case and addressed players and staff yesterday.
Solly said: “We have spoken with the administrator and there are up to four parties who have expressed their interest in buying the Bulls.
“We’ll hopefully speak to the different parties within the next 48 hours.”
Bradford Bulls 2014 Ltd had their bid for the club accepted by the administrator last Thursday but withdrew their offer on Tuesday after the Bulls were docked six points for entering administration.
The group, led by the club’s board of directors, were believed to have seen off interest from London-based businessman Richard Lamb, a bid from Bradford City joint-chairmen Julian Rhodes and Mark Lawn, and a separate consortium led by representatives from Bradford Park Avenue.
Former Bulls owner Omar Khan also made an unsuccessful bid to buy the club from the administrator last week.
Only Lamb has so far confirmed he remains in the running to buy the club but Solly said that a separate group had emerged who wished to remain anonymous.
“There is a confidentiality agreement in place,” said Solly.
Bantams joint-chairman Lawn said that Rhodes had recently met with the RFL but stopped short of revealing whether they remained interested in taking on the club.
Lawn said yesterday: “I made it clear last week when I was asked about the Bulls that I feared for the future of the club.
“What has happened this week has confirmed my fears and, unless there is a radical overhaul in the way that professional rugby league is being run in Bradford, then nothing will change.
“Julian and I have said we would do whatever we can to keep rugby league in Bradford but we are limited in what we can do.”
