Wakefield centre Dean Collis has been charged with making grade C dangerous contact with Bradford stand-off Lee Gaskell in the first minute of the match between the Bulls and the Wildcats last Thursday.
Gaskell is facing a lay-off of up to 12 weeks after damaging his knee ligaments in the collision.
Collis is eligible to make an early-guilty plea.
