BullBuilder looks set to play another pivotal role following a successful relaunch meeting at the Provident Stadium last night.

More than 50 Bulls fans turned out to meet with the supporters’ trust’s chiefs in the Conference & Banqueting Stand.

The club's head of youth Paul Medley was on hand to address those in attendance, outlining how BullBuilder had assisted in the past and how it can help going forward.

The meeting was designed to generate new interest in the trust, providing a fresh sense of direction ahead of the 2014 campaign.

A spokesperson for BullBuilder – the club’s official supporters’ trust – said: “The level of interest exceeded our expectations.

“It was really gratifying to see the respect for the trust’s past achievements and the enthusiasm to take BullBuilder’s support for the club and its junior players to new heights.”

The evening began with an introduction from the trust’s media officer, Mike Farren, who explained why the time seemed right to start up activities again.

He outlined the wide range of options open to a revitalised BullBuilder, from continuing its former remit of providing important extras to young players through to helping the club retain its Tong training facility.

Another option discussed on Wednesday evening was the opportunity for the trust to provide a vehicle for supporters to invest in the Bulls.

Mr Farren also pointed out that new board members, with fresh ideas and skills, were urgently required in order to take BullBuilder forward into a new era.

A spokesperson added: “There was a real sense of energy and purpose about the meeting.

“BullBuilder clearly has a place in the heart of Bulls fans and we look to have the kind of personnel that can help us build on that level of respect.

“There is a real need and a real enthusiasm for BullBuilder to resume its active role, supporting the club as it bids to bring back stability and on-field success.

“A number of potential candidates, all of an extremely high calibre, have put their names forward to join the board.”
