Mark Moore was yesterday given the green light to continue as acting Bulls chairman as the club edges closer towards a change of ownership.
The BedzRus owner resigned as a director of OK Bulls Limited last month, leaving Ian Watt and Andrew Calvert as the company’s sole directors.
RFL rules state that a club chairman can only assume the role if they are a director, although Moore looks certain to return to the board once the club’s ownership has been transferred from Omar Khan into the hands of the current regime.
And after a positive meeting with the governing body yesterday, Moore was given the go-ahead to continue to lead the club.
Bulls chief executive Robbie Hunter-Paul said: “The RFL were happy that Mark can function as acting chairman to allow us to continue to move forward.”
The ownership saga appears to be drawing to a positive outcome with Moore revealing on Monday that “contracts are being drawn up and we are moving towards a swift conclusion on that front.”
Hunter-Paul said he was “upbeat” after yesterday’s meeting with the RFL and also paid tribute to the club’s administration team for “going above and beyond the call of duty” during the past few weeks.
