Robbie Hunter-Paul is hopeful a resolution over the Bulls’ ownership is imminent as he revealed a number of “exciting partnerships” would be announced next week.
The long-running saga over the club’s future appears to be drawing towards a positive conclusion after it was announced on Thursday night that a deal had been struck in principle over their ownership.
Hunter-Paul said he was looking forward to driving the Bulls towards a successful future alongside directors Ian Watt and Andrew Calvert and former chairman Mark Moore.
The Bulls chief executive, who paid tribute to the club’s staff, players and coach Francis Cummins for their hard efforts during the period of uncertainty, said: “As testing as the past few weeks have been, I have remained confident that all stakeholders were working, and negotiating, with the club’s best interests at heart.
“(On Thursday) we issued a statement which revealed that an agreement had been reached, in principal.
“The devil is in the detail, which is being pieced together as we speak, and should come to a conclusion, hopefully, very soon.
“Following Thursday’s outcome we can now focus on the running of this famous club, without distraction. It allows us to continue working towards getting this club back to where it belongs.”
Hunter-Paul said the efforts of the club’s commercial staff would bear fruit with the announcements that would be made next week related to sponsorship.
The former Bulls star said: “Next week the hard work will come to the fore as we announce a host of exciting partnerships ahead of the new season.
“Together, in terms of sponsorship, they make for the highest-value playing jersey in the history of Bradford Bulls.”
