The Bulls squad are poised to meet with players’ union League 13 today as they seek answers and advice regarding the club’s latest financial crisis.

Francis Cummins and his players were informed about the club’s dire predicament at their Tong training base last Wednesday.

League 13 claimed they should have been invited to the address as they seek to assist the Bulls’ squad.

League 13 said in a statement: “Following contact from our members at Bradford, we have now made contact with the club and the RFL and we hope to receive answers to a number of questions as a matter of urgency.

“Once these answers have been received, we will be in a position to advise the players fully and seek a resolution to this situation that benefits all parties.”

It is understood a number of options have been put to Cummins’ squad by the club, including a wage cut, as the Bulls bid to make drastic savings with immediate effect.

Bulls chairman Mark Moore began the consultation process with several administration staff over their jobs yesterday and is now appealing to volunteers to step forward and assist the club.

Those who wish to do so are advised to meet at 6pm in the Trevor Foster Suite in the Coral Stand tomorrow ahead of the Stadium Carols event.

No players have yet left the club and reports linking Luke Gale with a move to Hull FC are wide of the mark.

Hull made an enquiry about the England Knights scrum half several weeks ago but recently recruited Jordan Rankin from Gold Coast Titans as a replacement for the departed Daniel Holdsworth, adding to Richard Horne and Jacob Miller on their roster of half-backs.

Hull football manager Motu Tony said: “When we knew Daniel Holdsworth was going to be unavailable this season we looked at all the options open to us.

“We enquired at Bradford about Luke Gale but the Bulls were adamant he was not available. That was a while ago now and they are the only dealings we have had with Bradford. We are happy with what we have got and we don’t have room for any more anyway.”
