Luke George is desperate to help bring a winning environment to the Bulls this season.
Despite not being a regular starter, the former Wakefield outside back was involved in Huddersfield’s historic league leaders' shield-winning campaign in 2013.
Even though he did not feature as much as he would have liked for former Bull Paul Anderson’s Giants outfit last campaign, George wants to recreate their successful mentality at Odsal for the forthcoming Super League campaign.
He said: “It was a great achievement from everyone at Huddersfield last year to get where we finished up.
“Am I looking to help bring that sort of winning environment here? That’s what I’ll be trying to do.
"At the end of the day everyone’s here to win, we’re not here to lose, but my days at the Giants are behind me now and I’m looking at what’s to come now and not towards the past.
“I enjoyed my time at Huddersfield but that’s over and the Bradford Bulls is now my main focus.”
George, who signed a two-year deal at the Provident Stadium at the end of July, also knows that it will not be easy to get into the Bulls starting line-up.
Francis Cummins has made six new additions – with four of those capable of playing in the backs division.
George added: “It is a really tough backline to get into this year but that’s the case wherever you go. I’ll just play wherever suits the team best and where the team’s going to benefit.
“My targets are just to play every game really and contribute to everybody else.”
George has already been won over by his new coach.
“With Franny being an ex-player at a big club himself, he knows what we’re going through day to day.
“Everyone’s here to prove themselves – from the first-team players all the way down to the youth set-up.
“We are here to achieve something this year and the club is going the right way about it to help us do that.”
