John Bateman needed no persuading to quit the Bulls and join double winners Wigan on a three-year deal.
The Warriors won the Challenge Cup and Grand Final this year and Bradford-born back-rower Bateman said: “Wigan are the best team in Super League.
“I spoke to Shaun Wane and Kris Radlinski and they didn’t have to say that much because the team do all the talking on the field.
“I’m a player who just wants to win stuff and be at the top of my game.
“Last season was a bit up and down for me due to injury but I’m fully fit again now and can’t wait to get started.
“I enjoyed my time at Bradford and to run out in front of my family, who are all Bulls fans, was very special.
“But this is a new chapter in my career and I’m looking forward to moving on. It just seems the right time to move and I’m happy to sign for Wigan.”
