A quartet of Bulls players are set to continue their World Cup adventures in second group-stage matches on Sunday.
Ben Evans and Elliot Kear, who both scored tries in Wales’ defeat to Italy last weekend, have been included in their 19-man squad to face United States at Wrexham.
USA go into the game after a 32-20 win over Cook Islands on Wednesday but Welsh coach Iestyn Harris said: “We’ve had a good week and preparations have been going well.
“We want a more consistent performance against USA and if we do that then we’re a match for anybody.”
Meanwhile, Dale Ferguson and Danny Addy will line up for Scotland against Italy as they seek to build on Tuesday’s stirring win over Tonga at Workington.
Sunday’s match will again take place at Derwent Park and former Bulls hooker Ian Henderson said: “We are full of spirit, which is something the Scots have always had.
“We want to be smart with the football too. We don’t want to be known as just passionate hard-workers, so hopefully we can get another win.”
