Jamie Langley heads a quartet of Bulls players who will leave the club after tomorrow’s home clash with Huddersfield Giants.
Langley, Michael Platt, Keith Lulia and Jobe Murphy are poised for pastures new and Francis Cummins has paid tribute to all four men.
The club’s longest-serving player, Langley has been at the Bulls for 13 years but is out of contract at the end of the campaign and is understood to be in discussions with a number of other clubs.
Platt’s deal also expires and his future is similarly uncertain but his departure will spell the end of a seven-year stay at Odsal after joining from Castleford for the 2007 campaign.
Lulia is to head home to Australia to join Wests Tigers, bringing to an end a two-year stint, while Murphy has come through the ranks but has not been offered another contract.
Cummins, who yesterday named Nathan Conroy and Curtis Naughton in his 19-man squad, is set to include Platt, Lulia and Langley against a table-topping Huddersfield outfit who have rested most of their first-choice players, including Craig Kopczak, ahead of their first play-off match next Thursday.
Cummins said: “Michael and Jamie have given Bradford Bulls seven and 13 tremendous years’ service respectively and that should be recognised.
“To stay somewhere for such long periods of time, you have to be consistent and they have done that.”
Lulia has rediscovered his best form in recent weeks and Cummins added: “Keith had a great season last year and has reproduced that at the back end of this season, which may be a result of him having his future decided.
“It might also have been that he just wasn’t getting enough ball but these things happen and he’s been a very good player for us.”
Academy graduate Murphy, meanwhile, made four first-team appearances earlier this year but has since been hit by injury and played for Dewsbury on dual registration.
Cummins said: “Jobe has given absolutely everything during his time here and left no stone unturned.
“I can see him being successful in whatever he chooses to do next in his career because he's an outstanding young man and I wish him all the best.”
Langley is set to undergo a head test ahead of tomorrow's match after being knocked out in last weekend's defeat to London Broncos.
