Jamie Foster column
It’s another massive game for us tonight and continues our recent tough run.
Wigan, Warrington and Leeds in a row is about as difficult as it gets and I think any team in the world would find that hard going.
We’re not beating ourselves up about our two defeats and we’re in confident mood heading into the derby.
The training ground has been buoyant but we understand that we’ve got to improve to match these kinds of teams.
That’s what we’re trying to do and I don’t think there is any better game for Bradford to try and get back to winning ways than Leeds at home.
When I was at St Helens and we had a setback, it was always great to have a big game the week after.
It’s what you need. There’s no point playing Wigan and Warrington and then facing a team we could put 40 points past. That would not do us any good in the long run.
This is another test and if we can get the win at home, which we believe we can do, then it would be a massive boost.
I think we’re ready to hit some decent form again after a strong start to the season.
I wouldn’t say we’ve had a dip because we’ve played against quality teams. But this is a perfect opportunity to bounce back and hopefully we can perform.
We’ve got Matty Blythe back after a frustrating few weeks for him. I was speaking to him about it the other day and I didn’t realise he’d been out for so long.
It has turned into a frustrating one for Matty but he’s a very good trainer and that’s something he’s definitely got going for him. He really does get stuck in and does what he has to do.
I’m sure he will do himself justice tonight and hopefully play his part in a Bradford victory.
