A YOUNG City XI drew 1-1 at Eccleshill United last night.
Both goals came inside the first 15 minutes at the Servo Group Stadium.
The home side opened the scoring with a close-range finish following a corner.
But Mo Mahmoud soon levelled for the Bantams after Kieran Mboma opened up the Eccleshill defence.
City were chiefly made up of under-17 scholars but first-year pro Harry Ibbitson missed a big chance just before half-time.
Max Murray, who appeared in the recent senior friendly at Chorley, played the ball across the six-yard box. But the striker somehow cleared the bar from point-blank range.
Former academy product Cole Roberts hit the post from long range for Eccleshill, who also forced a good save from City’s trialist keeper from the edge of the area.
City made plenty of changes to ensure every player got some minutes and another of their trialists was denied a winner in a late one-on-one.
CITY XI (starting): Trialist, Murray, Trialist A, Boney, Ziemiecki, Denison, Martin, Mahmoud, Hussain, Ibbitson, Mboma.
