Ermysted’s Grammar School’s Oliver Cicognini has been named in the England Under-16 squad for next month’s international fixtures.

The winger is in a squad of 26 who trained at Warwick School with an extended squad of 28 from England Under-16 A.

Included in the A squad are tight-head prop Matthew Beaumont and scrum half Sebastian Tullie, both from Bradford Grammar School, Ilkley Grammar School lock Daniel Grange and Hipperholme and Lightcliffe High School hooker Luke Cole.

The two squads will now train and play separately.

The England party, who are preparing for the Four Nations Tournament in Italy, will meet at Cokethorpe School on March 19-21 but both squads will have matches against under-17 club or academy opposition woven into their training programme.

The A squad will gather on the same date at Warwick School. They will play in the Wellington International Festival against Scotland (Sunday, April 4, 2pm), Belgium (Tuesday, April 6, 10am) and France A (Friday, April 9, 1pm).
