QUEENSBURY under-16s have new coach Liam Ruff at the helm for the forthcoming Yorkshire Junior League summer season.
The club's junior arm has proved a talented production line in the past, with three players securing scholarships with professional outfits in the close season.
Stand-off Alix Stephenson and hooker or scrum half Joel Charlton are heading to Sheffield Eagles, while prop forward Tyler Ochobi has joined Bradford Bulls.
The return of wingman Jack Brown from a spell at West Bowling will bolster the speed department, while new signings Chris Bannon-Egan and Robbie Wolfenden have added to a strong squad which includes the prodigious prospect of loose forward Joe Hall.
Queensbury is proving to be a hotbed of local amateur rugby league at present and they are the only club to field three open-age teams in the Pennine League.
This is undoubtedly due to a proven record of producing home-grown players from their thriving junior section.
