The first race in the new Keighley & Craven District Primary Schools Cross-Country League proved a great success.
The event at Silsden Park, organised by Hothfield School, attracted 163 children representing 12 schools.
This is the third such area league organised by the Bradford Athletics Network across the district, the others being in Wharfedale and north Bradford.
The Keighley & Craven League will expand next school year and a new league is intended for east and south Bradford.
