YORKSHIRE County Cricket Club chief executive Mark Arthur is the guest of honour and will present the prizes at the Upper Airedale Junior Cricket Association's presentations at the Rendezvous Hotel in Skipton tonight (7.30pm).
He will give a short talk about the progress being made by the county club and will also hopefully be bringing the LV= County Championship trophy with him.
The awards and a review of the year will precede the announcement of the five Cricketers of the Year prizes.
UAJCA secretary Terry Thompson has revealed that more than 40 per cent of the 400-plus league fixtures had to be rearranged, primarily because of bad weather in May but particularly in July.
Regulations allowed almost ten per of those to be replayed but 30 per cent remained unplayed, with one in eight matches conceded.
Thompson said: "While we can't control the weather, we certainly need to look at how clubs manage their fixtures in order to significantly reduce the additional work and hassle in rearranging matches."
The UAJCA meeting in November will discuss these issues and consider rule changes.
