Despite an eight-week lay-off because of a hand injury, Keighley table tennis star Mary Fuller, pictured, has quickly regained her form.
Thanks to £500 grants from both Sports Aid and Bradford Council's b active and £100 from Oakbank School, which the 15-year-old attends, she was able to travel to Sweden to compete in the Molndals Open Championship.
Already an English Masters winner, Mary now needs more experience against continental opposition.
And the trip to Gothenburg certainly paid off in that sense as Mary won both the under-15 and under-17 girls' singles titles, despite strong fields.
The Oakbank Table Tennis Club member, perhaps two weeks ahead of schedule due to her injury, defeated Jennifer Jonsson (Sweden) 9-11, 11-6, 11-3, 11-8 in the under-15 final and Jessica Stensby (Sweden) 1-9, 11-7, 11-8, 11-7 in the older age group.
Mary's coach Hans Soova said: "Mary's mum Nichola, who accompanied her on the trip, and myself are really grateful for the grants which made this continental journey possible."
