Scott Freer, a former pupil at Prince Henry's Grammar School, Otley, and his Leeds Carnegie clubmate Calum Clark have both been named in England's 32-man squad for their forthcoming under-20 international rugby union programme.

England will play five internationals in February and March before preparing for the International Rugby Board Junior World Championships in Wales in June.

Clark is one of eight players in the squad who have already played in the Guinness Premiership this season.

The squad, who have already spent a week in Portugal before Christmas under coaches Nigel Redman, the former England and Lions lock and former England fly half Mark Mapletoft, will hold a second training camp at the University of Bath on Monday and Tuesday before facing Wales in Gloucester on Friday, February 1 (7.45pm).

Nineteen of the squad have previously represented England at under-19 level with the remainder stepping up from England under-18s.
