Salts Tennis Club is looking back on a highly satisfactory year for its junior jennis development programme.
Among the achievements were taking coaching into Salt Grammar School and six primary schools, coaching more than 420 children and providing coaching training to 19 juniors aged between 14 and 16.
In addition, Salts TC provided tennis coaching training to 16 primary school teachers and teaching assistants and ran affordable tennis coaching' courses and summer camps.
In recognition, Salts has been named club of the year by the Yorkshire Lawn Tennis Association, while junior co-ordinator John Bretherick won the volunteer of the year honour.
