Bradford Ladies' first-team player Suzy Petty, has been selected to play hockey for the England Girls' Under-16 squad.

Suzy, who plays for Leeds Girls' High School's senior team, as well as their under-16 team, usually plays either centre forward or in midfield.

Charlotte Rostron, head of girls' PE at the school, said: "I'm thrilled for Suzy as it has long been an aspiration of hers and this honour is well-deserved."

In addition to playing hockey for school, Suzy still finds time to coach Adel junior girls, who are aged between six and 14 years.

She has been described by Cathryn Johnson, another of Leeds Girls' High School's PE teachers, as "one of the most athletic hockey players I have ever seen".

Suzy loves sport and hopes to work in the sporting world in the future, possibly as a PE teacher.
