MORE than 550 schools from Yorkshire and Teesside, including about 70 from Bradford and Keighley, have entered the Drax Cup – the biggest cricket competition for under-nines.
Qualifiers are at Bradford & Bingley Cricket Club on Wednesday and at East Bierley, Thornton and Great Horton Park Chapel cricket clubs on Thursday, while other qualifiers are set to follow at Keighley Cricket Club and the Karmand Centre in Bradford.
Area winners from North, South, East and West will play off in the finals at Headingley Cricket Ground on Friday, July 10, prior to the NatWest T20 Blast match between Yorkshire Vikings and Durham Jets.
