Several Bradford athletes won medals at the Aviva Sportshall UK Finals at Birmingham’s LG Arena.
Tobi Adeniji was West Yorkshire’s stand-out performer, winning the under-13 boys’ standing triple jump, and helping Joe Dagger, Iyrwah Gooden and Harvey Kaye to silver in the 4x1 lap relay.
Baildon Church of England Primary School’s Lois Logan gained silver in the under-13 girls’ obstacle relay race alongside Bingley Harrier Abigail Lampkin, Olivia Auker and Louise Todd.
As the seventh person in the West Yorkshire under-15 girls’ team, Lucy Oldroyd could only compete in the 2x2 lap relay but she also took part in the vertical jump as a non-scorer, winning it with 66cm.
The West Yorkshire under-13 boys’ team were eighth out of 12 teams, the West Yorkshire under-13 girls finishing tenth and the under-15 girls 11th.
Overall winners were Hampshire (under-13 girls), Hertfordshire (under-13 boys), Norfolk (under-15 girls) and Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan (under-15 boys, where North Yorkshire were 12th).
