Thirteen schools from the Hanson Academy School Sports Partnership are competing for a place in the West Yorkshire finals of the Drax Cup under-nines’ competition tomorrow (3pm).
The primary schools taking part at the Karmand Community Centre are Low Ash, Grove House, High Crags, St Anthony’s, Peel Park, Westbourne, Lapage, Byron, Feversham, Westminster, Thornbury, Barkerend and Thackley.
The Drax Cup has attracted a record entry of 440 Yorkshire schools, and the West Yorkshire final is at Pudsey St Lawrence Cricket Club on Thursday, June 20, with the winner going forward to the finals day at Headingley in July.
